India’s first woman cannabis activist Priya Mishra talks about her journey



Priya Mishra, the founder of ‘Hempvati’ is India’s first female cannabis activist and lobbyist. Priya was diagnosed with a severe form of tuberculosis which didn’t respond to any medications. She found relief and cure through cannabis. Following this she began researching about cannabis and learned about the components of cannabis which have medicinal properties. Thus began her fight to legalise cannabis in India.
We spoke to Priya to get a better understanding of her journey and the work she does today.
